Cleans rooms and | | | | | other premises of facility, | | | | | by performing any | | | | | combination of the following | | | | | tasks; dusts and cleans | | | | | blinds, furniture, and other | | | | | surfaces; sorts, counts, | | | | | folds, marks, and carries | | | | | linens; turns mattresses and | | | | | makes beds; moves and | | | | | arranges furniture and hangs | | | | | drapes; cleans and polishes | | | | | metalwork and porcelain | | | | | bathroom fixtures; | | | | | spot-cleans walls and | | | | | windows; empties | | | | | wastebaskets and removes | | | | | trash; removes soiled linens | | | | | for laundering; and | | | | | replenishes room supplies. | | | | | Report any needed repairs to | | | | | equipment, furniture, | | | | | fixtures and buildings to | | | | | supervisor. May provide | | | | | direct services to adult | | | | | with developmental | | | | | disabilities. | | | | | | | | | | Education and Training: High | | | | | School Diploma (or | | | | | equivalent) preferred with | | | | | post high school training in | | | | | the field of housekeeping | | | | | operations preferred. | | | | | | | | | | Three (3) years general work | | | | | experience preferred. | | | | | | | | | | Have the ability to read and | | | | | write English in order to | | | | | understand and interpret | | | | | written procedures. | | | | | This includes the ability to | | | | | give and receive | | | | | instructions in written and | | | | | verbal forms and to | | | | | effectively present | | | | | information and respond to | | | | | questions from clients, | | | | | supervisors, co-workers, and | | | | | customers.
