Hilton Human Resources Manager / Cluster in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

A Manager/Cluster of Human Resources you will manage Human Resources' related activities including recruitment, performance management, succession planning, talent management, compensation & benefits, employee relations initiatives, learning & development.

Also manage all related matters to employee benefits, including; employees' accommodation, meals, transportation, as well as labor contracted services agreements (outsourced labor), and legal aspects related to employees/employment (i.e. work permits, residences, indemnity, etc.).

What will I be doing?

As a Manager/Cluster Human Resources, you will be responsible, in the pre-opening phase, to familiarize yourself and follow the brand (s) standards, pre-opening budget, timeline and Roadmap to opening the Hotels.

You will ensure to be aware and fully updated with all related information, strategy of the hotel(s) as well as your department, related to positioning & successful opening of the hotel(s). In your capacity, you will be responsible for the effective management and performance of all Human Resources related activities. This includes talent management, succession planning, learning & development and training, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee h and safety aspects.

Specifically a Manager/Cluster Human Resources will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Plan and forecast the short and long-term talent requirements for the hotel to support its business plans as well the company's plans.
  • Maintain a best practice recruitment approach, including the Company's vacancy management system, to attract the best applicants, within the approved manning guide/budget.
  • Ensure Turnover is kept low/below target given by the regional specialists, in order to reduce recruitment & payroll costs.
  • Build a strong career and succession planning system to retain and develop talent
  • Implement training and development strategies to improve performance, customer service, Quality Assurance requirements, problem resolutions & guest satisfaction surveys (for hotel employees and/or outsources staff).
  • Oversee the hotel's human resources database and payroll system
  • Provide a framework for counseling, coaching, and welfare services.
  • Manage the Team Members' Opinion Surveys and champions the HR calendar of Team Member social events, and ensure implementation.
  • Ensure HR team provides month-end & periodical reports are completed on time for GM and/ or regional office.
  • Prepare Manning/Payroll projections, forecasts and budgets throughout the year and advise GM and/ or regional office of any major issues that would impact the operation.
  • Manage / resolve, promptly and completely, all employee relations issues or disputes.
  • Ensure a cultural compliance, non-favoritism & business ethics is promoted & implemented within the hotel.
  • Supporting hotel leaders and the General Manager in cases of discipline or grievance, offering fair, lawful and commercially realistic advice on all occasions.
  • Maintain an awareness of competitor human resources activities and best practices.
  • Maintain always excellent knowledge of local laws & procedures.

What are we looking for?

A Manager/Cluster of Human Resources serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members.

To successfully fill-in this role, you should maintain excellent attitude, behaviors, skills, values and experience that includes:

  • Hotel Opening or Pre-opening experience is an advantage
  • UAE experience and/or GCC experience is required
  • Tertiary qualifications, or other collegiate-level degree, in Human Resources.
  • Previous experience with minimum of 7 years supervisory experience, 3 years of which must be in the capacity of HR Manager/Cluster/Director in a multinational company within the hotel, resort, leisure, and/or retail sector (responsible for at least 200 employees).
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Arabic language would be a plus.
  • Excellent leadership skills and exceptional communication skills
