Due to its continued success in exceeding expectations in the Cloud technology market, Oracle is recruiting a Senior Sales Manager for the UK SMB Cloud Sales team.

Prior experience in management is essential for this role.

The UK SMB Prime Sales focuses on selling Oracle's leading Cloud technology Solutions to the UK key account sector which comprises a team of 8 senior account managers (Cloud platform Reps) who manage their territories from a central operation in Dublin with regular travel to the UK to manage their customers, as required.

The role of the Cloud Technology Senior Sales Manager is to lead this ambitious team and requires an entrepreneurial spirit to develop strategies for sales excellence in achieving pipeline and revenue targets. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence decision, drive change, and consistently deliver results, and are someone who is experienced in working in a fast-paced digital Sales environment. Experience selling Oracle cloud products a distinct advantage. Experience managing or selling to key cloud accounts is essential.

The Cloud Technology Senior Sales Manager will have the opportunity to define, evolve and develop the new sales team and prime business model to meet (and exceed) business goals and expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team of 6-8 Cloud Platform Reps to achieve individual and team revenue and non-revenue objectives

  • Develop the sales team through talent selection, motivation and coaching ensuring retention and development of key employees

  • Define and allocate account-responsibility, territories and targets to the sales team in line with UK growth expectations

  • Set and manage individual goals, objectives and KPI’s of the team ensuring performance levels are consistent and in line with expectations

  • Cooperate X-LOB with the relevant sales teams to fulfil Oracle’s Full-Stack-Strategy and identify additional opportunities for the Technology Line of Business

  • Define and manage the team’s Demand Generation and Campaign Framework in conjunction with Oracle Digital Sales Programs, Business development and Channel functions

  • Support sales reps with customer engagement, deal management and negotiation where applicable ensuring resources from the wider Oracle eco-system are utilised effectively to enhance business opportunities and customer success

  • Ability to understand and effectively respond to customers’ issues, and to build credibility and customer confidence in Oracle’s capabilities as a cloud vendor

  • Develop, implement and accomplish Oracle Digital’s short, medium and long-term vision through people and business leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Substantial people management/leadership experience in an IT Cloud Sales environment (5+ years), ideally with Inside Sales & Field Sales experience

  • Proven experience of managing and developing a technology inside sales team

  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue goals

  • Knowledge of Cloud Technology solutions essential

  • Ability to manage complexity; understand and evaluate risks, apply personal insight and experience to business situations, make decisions where there is no precedent or formal procedures

  • Excellent interpersonal/influencing skills

  • Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative partnerships

Responsibilities

Manages a team of OD Prime Sales Representatives/Managers for a territory/region. Participates as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Develops working relationships with license, consulting, education, and/or support field managers to develop joint account plans. Develops and executes strategic plans utilizing resources from various marketing and sales functions to maximize revenue with frequent guidance from the area manager or director. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Handles escalations and participates directly in complex sales situations to negotiate and/or resolve disputes and ensure customer satisfaction. Conducts sales forecasts, territory planning, demand generation, deal strategy development and trend analysis.
