We are seeking a motivated Dry Etch Module Development Engineer to join our LTD Manufacturing team. Your role will be pivotal in developing plasma dry etch equipment, optimizing its performance, and implementing solutions to advance Moore's law. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine procedures and configurations for plasma dry etch equipment to optimize quality, availability, and throughput.

  • Utilize first principles and model-based problem-solving to master equipment and processes, creating systems to address recurring issues.

  • Install, qualify, and operate equipment for manufacturing revenue-generating products at the LTD site.

  • Foster collaborative relationships with process development and high-volume manufacturing teams, ensuring consistent processing across sites through training and audits.

  • Drive enhancements in quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability, productivity, and safety, while managing variables such as materials, methods, and equipment.

  • Implement process control systems for the module and maintain its performance throughout the production ramp-up.

  • Partner with industry peers and equipment suppliers to advance equipment capabilities, address limitations, and establish preventative maintenance for stable operations.

  • Address production inquiries, material dispositions, and alarm responses as needed.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of Dry Etch experience, Master's Degree with 5+ years of Dry Etch experience, or Ph.D. in Engineering with 3+ years of Dry Etch experience in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related semiconductor STEM field.

  • At least 3 years of module engineering experience or dry etch hardware troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS with 8+ years, MS with 6+ years, or Ph.D. with 3+ years of relevant industry experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.

  • Experience with LAM Research dry etch tools in logic/memory applications.

  • Proficiency in optimizing LAM etcher tools and troubleshooting to meet factory objectives such as cost reduction and improved availability.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, database entry, and basic scripting and coding.

  • Ability to interpret schematics and complex technical drawings.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
