Job Summary:

Provides operational and aeronautical domain expertise in support of Jacobs projects and contracts. Applies a high level of aircraft experience to evaluation, design and implementation of mission planning products, and to aeronautical data quality investigations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Work scope may include any/all of the following duties:

  • Responsible for technical support to assigned Program / Project.

  • Interfaces with customer representatives at all levels to understand complex systems requirements.

  • Translates complex systems requirements to developers and software engineers.

  • Participates in evaluation and assessment of Mission Planning products.

  • Prepares and presents technical briefings to customer management and staff and assists in the preparation of proposals, project plans, quotations, white papers, and process improvement materials.

  • Investigating data aeronautical issues.

  • Automation of manual data tasks

Here’s what you’ll need :

Education Desired/Required:

High School Diploma and at least fourteen (14) years related experience, or BS degree from an accredited school and at least eight (8) years of related experience, or a MS degree from an accredited school and at least seven (7) years of related experience

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft, weapons, mission planning and service and joint air operations.

  • Knowledge of DAFIF, ARINC-424 or similar aeronautical data specifications

  • Experience with Helicopter and/or fixed wing flight and operations

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Clearance:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing,

typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.

Work Environment:

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside

environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with coworkers, customer, and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions.

Criticality of Attendance:

Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission

requirements.

Equipment and Machines:

Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies.

Travel Requirements:

Work may require occasional travel.

Other Essential Functions:

Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and

written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer’s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
