Description:

The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of engineering, development and project management for all variants of equipment

Custom truck mechanical design including sheet metal framework, piping, pumping systems and electrical controls.

Research and development of new technologies and products for refuelers.

Establish chassis specifications and dimensions to achieve proper functionality and weight distribution of final product. In doing so, ensure chassis is fit for environment and in compliance with local regulations for end user.

Verify truck design is compliant with NFPA, JIG, ATA, CSA or others as required.

Assemble a detailed Bill of materials for each job assigned.

Create and approve drawings to company standards.

Display a strong work ethic as required to meet project goals on time.

Supporting the Customer Service team as needed.

Supporting the production floor as necessary, hands on work may be required.

 Skills:

Design, New product development, Electrical design, Solidworks, inventor, Autocad, hyrdaulics, bill of material, rail, piping design, hydraulic system

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Years of Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an engineering role.

Must Have's:

Experience with BOM's

Design Experience with brackets, electrical schematics, hydraulics

Sourcing parts from suppliers

Hands on mechanical experience

Nice to Have's:

Any experience working with specialty equipment

Experience with aviation refueler standards - NFPA, JIG, ATA, CSA
