Emerson Welding Engineer in Nanjing, China

Job Summary

If you are a Welding Professional looking for an opportunity to grow, we have an exciting opening for you! In this role, you will be a core member of a team dedicated to creating World Class manufacturing processes for flow meters to provide a Best-in-Class experience for our customers. You’re responsible for developing and supporting welding processes, equipment, tooling, and/or compute-based process control and data collection systems to produce high quality products in a Lean Manufacturing operation and assist in Welder training.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Developing and continuously improving welding processes to support production;

  • Responsible for identifying the welder’s skills requirement, conduct the OJT and qualification

  • Welding NC failure analysis and preventive actions to achieve desired quality yield.

  • Establishing WPS, WPQ plan according to type of product, performs WPQ examination and documentation work. Training welder to improve techniques and get WPQ in the time of requirement.

  • Working with maintenance and production team to enhance equipment efficiency with TPM and effective spare part management.

  • Working seamlessly with Operations Develop team to assist new process, new product launch and process verification. Working closely with peers to manufacture good quality products

  • Using LEAN concepts and Six Sigma tools to improve workload, working environment, and manufacturing processes.

  • Through CIP, always strive to comply with ISO 14001 / 45001 in everything we do everyday; having Think-Customer in mind.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 3 years working experience in Welding.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Welding, Material Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing engineering tools, safety & environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, engineering application software (eg. Autocad / ProE/ UG) is preferred.

  • Fluent written and oral communications skills in both English and Chinese.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Be familiar with ASME code

  • Knowledge of working efficiency, manufacturing, safety & environment

  • Good English level (both written and spoken)

  • Good knowledge of equipment/fixture.
