Olivia Quinlan is hiring for a Systems Administrator based in Niagara Falls, New York.

The role involves managing and maintaining an IBM iSeries system, specifically requiring PowerHA experience.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the administration of IBM iSeries systems and ensure their efficient operation.

• Handle the configuration management of our systems, including the deployment of updates and patches.

• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.

• Experience in AS400 Security Management, Communications, Operating System Upgrades and PTF deployment, Independent Auxiliary Storage Pools (iASP's), and Storage Based Replication

• Knowledge of PowerHA is extremely helpful and will help to determine salary

• Leverage EO/IR systems, Backup Technologies, and Computer Hardware skills to support the organization's technological infrastructure.

• Regularly monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Coordinate with other IT professionals to efficiently resolve system-related issues.

• Ensure the secure and efficient operation of IBM AS/400 and IBM San systems.

• Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration and design details.

• Conduct regular system audits to ensure the proper functioning of deployed systems.

• Participate in the development and implementation of IT strategies and procedures.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator

• Proficient in Database management and Backup Technologies

• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Technologies

• Solid understanding of EO/IR systems

• Proficient in handling Computer Hardware

• Experience with Configuration Management

• Ability to manage Deployments efficiently

• Familiarity with IBM, IBM AS/400, and IBM San technologies

• Ability to work in a team and independently

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
