Reporting to the Laboratory Technician Lead, this position will assist the Pocatello Lab team during our harvest season. Laboratory Technicians are responsible for providing technical development and support, instrument set up and maintenance for methods common to our industry, performing lab tests on in-process analytical data for laboratory reports and communicating variation from quality standards to the appropriate Quality Control and Production personnel, and conducting special testing of an investigative nature to react to problems in the malting process.

*Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in an analytical lab with advanced analytical instrumentation is preferred.

*Must be proficient in the use of a computer, skills to include Word, Excel and Outlook

*Must be able to pass a basic lab competency exam.

*Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in team oriented and independent environments.

*Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

*Willingness to actively participate in continued training as lab processes are improved.

*Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to proactively identify potential solutions.
