Google Program Manager II, Controls Governance, Cloud CISO in Raleigh, North Carolina

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.

  • 2 years of experience in technology risk, compliance, audit and controls.

  • 2 years of experience in information governance, information life-cycle management, compliance, legal, privacy, information security, or related areas.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications in various technical areas related to Information Governance (e.g., CGEIT, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, Information Governance Professional (IGP)).

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Cloud Controls Governance team within the Cloud CISO organization is responsible for developing and enhancing governance processes to improve efficiency, transparency and control, as well as, ensure alignment with Cloud CISO standards and compliance with key regulatory, industry and client requirements. In this role, you will collaborate closely on planning, execution, and governance with control partners across Cloud Product Areas, Risk and Compliance, Security Engineering, and Privacy teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of program stakeholders and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.

  • Contribute to the definition and documentation of governance and control requirements for aimed state global processes, including drafting policies and procedures.

  • Develop working relationships and partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organisation (business and functions) to accomplish goals.

  • Lead efforts for the identification and enhancement of key controls and ensure monitoring tools are appropriate and effective to identify control deficiencies.
