San Jose, CA / Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division

How will you make an impact?

You will join a dynamic team of software developers, architects, scientists and engineers as well as UX designers and product marketing colleagues to craft, design and develop meaningful web applications related to analytical instruments and applications for world-wide customers. As a key player in developing modern commercial web applications, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in latest software design and development, new technologies, modern user experience, AI and AI applications, and such. Our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry instruments and technologies make a real, positive, and strong impact on the lives of people across the globe!

What will you do?

  • Apply strong computer science and programming skills to solve real-world problems in the life science and analytical industries

  • Design, implement, and deploy web applications with new features following the best design/coding practices and modern micro-services architecture

  • Hands-on development role with daily activities in coding, unit test, integration testing, code reviews

  • Present and demo work to team as needed

  • Work with backend developers for client-backend service integration

  • Collaborate with multi-functional team following Agile software development process

  • Help set and review high standard design and coding guideline with UI/UX architects and other team leads

  • Mentor junior web UI developers

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or STEM related with strong software focus

Experience

  • 7+ years of full life cycle development experience of commercial web applications

  • Strong experience with Javascript, Typescript, micro-frontend technologies, JS frameworks (Vue, React, or Angular), reusable web components development and distribution, HTML5, CSS for responsive layout

  • Strong skills of modern robust web application design

  • Working experience with web app packaging, such as docker image

  • Experience with Restful API development and integration

  • Full stack development on both front end and backend is preferred

  • Good communication skills

  • Working experience with Biotech, Pharma, Chemical Analysis or Life Science Industry is preferred

  • Experience with AWS deployment is preferred

  • Experience with C# .NET, .NET core, microservices, backend development or integration is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $129,400.00–$194,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
